Every single minute, two people die because they do not have access to clean water. But we can change this: we can provide everyone on this planet with clean water! In this talk, Professor Kitty Nijmeijer will demonstrate how we can use membranes to transform a glass of dirty water into a glass of delicious, fresh drinking water. Clean water for everyone is not a dream, it can be reality!
Prof. dr. Kitty Nijmeijer is professor Membrane Materials and Processes at Eindhoven University of Technology. She has extensive experience in the development and application of membranes (filters) for the purification of water to produce clean water and for the generation of sustainable energy from sea and river water. With her work she wants to inspire people to contribute to a social and sustainable world.
