The Katadyn BeFree Filter was introduced last year in a 0.6 L version. A few days ago, they released a 1.0 L version which is perfect for UL backpacking. In this video, I give some initial thoughts on the filter and compare it to the Sawyer filters that have dominated the market the last 5 years. I will follow up with a long-term review once I have had a chance to test it in the field. So far, I’m pretty excited!
